FAQs
Why chose Classic Clown LLC?
We have over 20 years of experience entertaining children and adults. We care that each guest has a fun and memorable experience. We adhere to strict standards of hygene. We attend extensive training to offer our customers the newest designs with the newest techniques and the best products.
What kind of makeup is used for face painting?
We use only makeup that is cosmetic grade and approved for use on skin. All makeup is FDA compliant. MSDS information available upon request.
What kinds of designs can be painted?
We are specially trained to design full faces, masks, crowns and cheek or hand art. We encourage each child to customize their own design and we offer an extensive choice of colors. We love incorporating your creative suggestions into our designs. We have created the Fun Fingers Design for those children and adults who are looking for something more unique and special.
How long does face painting take?
You should estimate 3-5 minutes per child depending on the amount of detail work involved.
How does face paint makeup wash off?
We reccommend using mild soap and warm water. Sometimes a good baby wipe is all you need. Do not scrub and scrub. If some makeup residue remains, massage soap into skin and rinse with warm water.
What about safety and hygene?
We are very concerned with the cleanliness of our work station. We clean and sanitize all of our equipment, brushes, and sponges after each event. We do not paint faces that have open sores or wounds, or the faces of sick children. In these cases, we will happily paint a design on an arm or hand instead.
Why hire a professional?
Many people are naturally artistic and have great painting skills. However, applying craft paint to skin is an unsafe and highly toxic hazard for children. Professionals use the highest quality materials and equipment. We attend conventions, worhshops, and classes to constantly improve our skills. We know how to entertain while interacting with each customer. A professional can sometimes paint hundreds of faces per event and will enhance your event with their experience and knowledge. A professional will bring everything they need and represent your party in a appropriate and positive way.
Can I make an appointment for Mardi Gras, Halloween, or a special party?
Absolutely! We take appointments year round for private sessions. No matter how fancy or scary, we can help you get the right look for the right occasion. We will also travel to your photo shoot or corporate function. If your dance or cheer team needs glitter tattoos, we will be happy to meet them at the event or competition to do our work.
Do you paint at festivals and fairs?
Yes! We can bring everything we need. We can provide cosmetic grade glitter tattoos and balloons along with our fantastic facepainting and clown walk around performances. Please LIKE our Facebook page for updates on our public appearances www.Facebook.com/ClassicClown.
What else do you do besides facepainting and balloon sculpture?
We can provide helium balloons and balloon decor also. Our arches and centerpieces can be customized to your specifications. We enjoy story time with our selection of puppets and props. Children are amazed by our popular Mother Goose puppet who appears to be reading along with them. We also can develop an educational and fun show for your school program or community event. Thanks to our membership in the Atlantic County Entertainers Guild, if we don't offer what you are looking for, we can most likely reccommend another professional who may suit your needs.
Do you teach classes on clowning, face painting or balloon twisting?
Yes! We have programs designed for different skill levels. We provide all the supplies you will need to learn the basics, improve your skills, or learn some of the latest trends. Please email us for details.
Latex Balloon Warning: Choking Hazard. Children under 8 years can choke or suffocate on uninflated or broken balloons. Adult supervision required. Keep uninflated balloons from children. Discard broken balloons at once.
